Spam and Black Hat SEO DON'T DO IT!

Never try to trick the search engines into giving you a high search engine ranking.

Using spamming techniques to improve your ranking will ultimately lead to being black listed by the search engines.

Take a look opposite at all the ticks and spam to ensure that you are not using any of these bad strategies that will have an adverse effect on your websites ranking.
Be Careful
There is a fine line between optimizing your site well and over optimization using more aggresive methods and therefore risking venturing into the grey area of spam
Do Not

List keywords anywhere except in the keyword meta tag. Text must make sense everywhere else on your website.

Use the same colour text as your websites background colour. This has often been used to try and trick search engines, however search engines can detect this and will penalise you.

Use the same tag more than once. For example, using more than one title tag. Search engines see this as spam.

Submit identical pages. Duplicating a page of your site and then submitting each one to the search engines is considered as spam.
